Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company is on a dream run in the World’s fastest growing Indian market and are bringing quality devices with Value-for-Money. the company has today announced a newer variant of the Mi Max 2 with 4GB RAM and 32GB on-board storage option. the device is usually priced at Rs. 14,999 but, will be available for a introductory price of Rs. 12,999 in the region starting from September, 20 exclusively on Amazon India, Mi.com & Mi Home.

To remind you quickly, the Mi Max 2 was announced earlier this year at a launch event held in Beijing, China. the launch event was attend by Ma Dong, (Host from China’s most popular online talk show Qi Pa Shuo), Luo Zhenyu, Founder of igetget app, Chen Rong, Chairman of Bilibili.com, Ge Ke, CEO of WPS and SNH48, Chinese idol girl group based in Shanghai, China. the Mi Max 2 smartphone is a successor of Mi Max smartphone which was launched on 10th may, 2016.

Mi Max 2 comes with a completely new design methodology evolving from plastic caps to discreet antenna lines to strengthen the overall unibody structure & rounded edges for a much better hand feel!!!


The Mi Max 2 sports metal unibody design and bears a 6.44-inch large immersive Full-HD (1080 x 1920 p) display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection and a pixel density of 342PPI. under-the-hood, the smartphone is powered by octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clocked at 2GHz and paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 506 GPU. the company has only launched the 64GB of internal storage variant in the country, which is further expandable up-to another 128 GB via MicroSD card. the highlight feature of the device is its massive 5300 mAh Battery backup with Quick Charge 3.0 support. the company claims that the device can charge up-to 68 percent in just one hour and can easily last for two day. the smartphone runs on MIUI 8 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat update and it also sports fingerprint sensor present at the back along with Stereo speakers and the IR Blaster which the company claims can work as universal remote for televisions and air conditions.


The Mi Max 2 smartphone sports 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 sensor with large 1.25-micron pixels, F/2.2 Aperture, Dual-LED Flash, Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) support, HDR and enhanced quality for low-light photography. on the front, there is 5-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter with F/2.0 Aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.


On the connectivity front, the options includes Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, dual-band, Wi-Fi Direct, DLNA, hotspot, GPS, A/GPS, USB Type-C. it also on-boards accelerometer sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, and compass. the smartphone measures 174.1 x 88.7 x 7.6 mm and weighs 211 grams.

The device smartphone also comes with improved one-handed usage and a Unique split screen mode for Multitasking along with Dual power stereo speakers.

The Mi Max 2 was launched in India on July, 18 with 4GB RAM + 64GB on-board storage in matte black colour variant and was priced at Rs. 16,999.
