WhatsApp updated with support for quoted message reply for Android & iOS smartphone

WhatsApp today has grabbed yet another update for Android and iOS. the latest update bring an interesting feature which let users to send quote messages while replying. the update is now rolling out for Android and iOS and is available for download from Google Play and AppStore.

the said feature work after long pressing any message in the conversation to get a reply option alongwith star, delete, forward, and copy. after tapping on the reply button, the original message appears as quoted and user can reply to that. On the receiver’s end, the quoted message will appear as a grey box with the reply below it. The feature works on personal chat and also on group chats.

Earlier this week the quotes message feature was spotted on WhatsApp Beta programme available for android devices whereas the WhatsApp beta programme for iOS spotted the gif image sharing support.

As per WABetainfo twitter account who monitors the tracks of WhatsApp Beta release stated, that WhatsApp beta for iOS version shows the upload progress when you send a photo Before it only worked with videos and documents only. this feature will probably come in future update


Currently, the quoted text reply feature isnt available for Windows phone users but it wont take too long to land on the Windows Store as the developers update their Windows phone app on regular basis.
