Vivo Y81 With 6.22-inch HD+ 19:9 Display, & 3,260 mAh Battery Launched

Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker launched a new device dubbed as ‘Vivo Y81‘ under its portfolio of ‘Y series’ in Taiwan on June 21st, 2018. the device is priced at Vietnamese dong 4,990,000 (official pricing Rs. 12,999 in India  / approx USD 218) and is available for purchase from FPT Shop.

The Vivo Y81 sports an ‘iPhone X’ like notch, and a bezel-less design with just 2.15mm narrow bezels, along with 88% screen-to-body ratio. it bears a  6.22-inch HD+ (720 x 1520p) IPS display with a 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass protection. the device is powered by an  2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 processor paired with IMG GE8320 650MHz GPU, and 3GB of RAM. it comes with 32GB of on-board storage and supports storage expansion upto 256GB via MicroSD card. the device runs on FunTouch operating system 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the box and is backed by a 3,260 mAh battery which the company claims offers 24 hours of standby time, 10 hours of Talktime, and can be fully recharged within 2 hours.


On the optics front, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with F/2.2 aperture and LED flash. while, on the front, there’s an 5-megapixel selfie camera with F/2.2 aperture and Face Unlock feature. it also includes various mode such as HDR, Face Beauty, Group Selfie, Live Photo, Panorama, Voice Selfie, Portrait and Bokeh mode.


Connectivity options includes Dual SIM/ Nano SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz), GPS, NFC, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. it also onboards accelerometer, ambient light sensor, proximity sensor, e-compass, fingerprint (rear facing), and virtual gyroscope sensors. the device measures at  155.06 x 75.0 x 7.77 mm and weighs at 146.5 grams.
