Vivo, the Chinese smartphone maker has today launched a new device dubbed as ‘Vivo Y81‘ under its portfolio of ‘Y series’ in Taiwan. the device is priced at Vietnamese dong 4,990,000 (approx Rs. 14,850 / USD 218) and is available for purchase from FPT Shop.
The Vivo Y81 bears a 6.22-inch HD+ (720 x 1520p) IPS display with an 19:9 aspect ratio and Gorilla Glass protection. it is powered by an 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6762 Helio P22 processor paired with IMG GE8320 650MHz GPU and 3GB of RAM. the device is packed with 32GB of on-board storage and supports storage expansion upto 256GB via MicroSD card. it runs on FunTouch operating system 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the box and is backed by a 3,260 mAh battery which the company claims offers 24 hours of standby time, 10 hours of Talktime, and can be fully recharged within 2 hours.
On the optics front, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with F/2.2 aperture and LED flash. while, on the front, there’s an 5-megapixel selfie camera with F/2.2 aperture. it also feature various mode such as HDR, Face Beauty, Group Selfie, Live Photo, and Bokeh.
Connectivity options includes Dual SIM/ Nano SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, single-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac (2.4GHz), GPS, NFC, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm audio jack. the device measures at 155.06 x 75.0 x 7.77 mm and weighs at 146.5 grams.
