We last reported you that Thomas Nigro, the developer behind the popular VLC for Windows app announced that their new UWP VLC app will be coming for all Windows 10 devices ( Including Windows 10 PC, Windows 10 Mobile, Hololens, & Xbox).

We also reported you that the New UWP VLC app will be, “Redstone only, TH2 will probably not be supported. This is because of technical limitations around Background audio APIs, and bad drivers on the phones not receiving the RS1 bits.”

Our friends at MSPU has managed to get their hands on the New UWP VLC app and were kind enough to share the screenshots with us. you can check the gallery screenshots :

Here are some of the new features of the upcoming UWP VLC App for Windows 10 Mobiles :

• Added ability to change the theme (light and dark) and the default color.

• New settings for videos and music.
• New settings for notifications.
• New options for the video player: you can change the playback speed, delaying audio and subtitles.
• Possibility to add audio and external subtitles to the video.

The app is still buggy and unstable but one should take a note that its still in beta and will get refinements once it gets near to public release.
