OnePlus Confirms, OnePlus 6T Will Feature an In-display Fingerprint Sensor

OnePlus 6T, the successor of OnePlus 6 is making huge noises these days, since alleged pictures of the device packaging and retail box were leaked online. we have a fresh report incoming revealing key specifications of device from source being none other than OnePlus itself.

The shenzhen based chinese company has today officially confirmed the existence of its second flagship of the year and in the process also revealed its key specifications. the OnePlus 6T is going to be the company’s first offering featuring an Screen Unlock (In-display fingerprint sensor) along with Face Unlock technology. the company in a move to expand its presence in US has also already grabbed a carrier deal with T-Mobile, which itself is kinda a big deal.

OnePlus, in an email has confirmed CNET, “We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action. By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them,”

Earlier leaks suggested, the OnePlus 6T will feature a massive 6.4-inch full-HD+ 19:9 Waterdrop Notch display, and will be powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset, with 8GB RAM, 64/128/256GB storage configurations. it is also rumoured to feature a triple rear cameras setup consisting a 12-megapixel sensor with f/1.5-2.4 variable aperture, a 20-megapixel secondary sensor with an aperture of f/2.6, and a TOF 3D stereo camera with a LED flash module.

The OnePlus 6T is expected to launch sometime in October at the base price of USD 550 (approx. ₹39,800 / CNY 3770). the device carry forwards the ‘T’ moniker which comes with minimal refinements and design. the tradition which OnePlus first started with OnePlus 3T.
