OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition Launched in India, Will Be Priced At Rs. 38,999

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition as expected was launched today in India ahead of the release of ‘Star Wars : The Last Jedi’ — the latest movie from the popular Star Wars Franchise. the device is available only in 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and is priced at Rs. 38,999. it will go on sale starting from today 12:00 PM (IST) midnight via OnePlus store and Amazon India.

The Shenzen based smartphone manufacturer is also going to hold pop-up events in nine cities across India where users can experience and buy the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition. the pop-up stores across 6 cities will be held in Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Kochi, Mumbai, and Pune on December 16 and 17 and will followed by pop-p store across Hyderabad and Kolkata.

December 4, 2017 : OnePlus 5T Star Wars Edition Announced, Goes on Sale Starting From December 15

OnePlus, the Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturer company today has announced a special edition of the OnePlus 5T smartphone based on Star Wars in association with Star Wars: The Last Jedi which is going to release next week. the company unveiled the device at the Comic-Con event held in Bengaluru, India. the device will be available exclusively for the Indian market and the Shenzhen based Chinese smartphone manufacturing company hasn’t revealed their plans on its availability of the device in other key markets.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition sports a Sandstone White panel at the back and Black front finish, a black OnePlus logo on the back placed beneath the fingerprint sensor, Red colored Alert slider and a Red colored Star Wars Logo sitting at the bottom.

Coming to the specifications, The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition sports identical configuration to the original variant which was launched last month in the country. the device sports 6.01-inch Full Optic AMOLED (1080 x 2160 p) Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by 2.45GHz Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Processor paired with 6GB/8GB LPDDR4X RAM and Adreno 540 GPU. the device comes with 64GB/128GB storage option and runs on OxygenOS 4.7.1 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat update and is said to receive Android 8.0 Oreo Beta build by early December.

The OnePlus 5T sports a dual rear camera setup which is combination of 16-megapixel Sony IMX 398 primary sensor with 1.12μm pixel size and 20-megapixel Sony IMX 376K secondary sensor with 1.0μm pixel size. both, the cameras features F/1.7 aperture and 27.22 mm focal length which helps to capture better low-light photography. the device sports a Dual LED flash. the company also mentioned that the device comes with improved support for Low-light photography and comes with portrait mode and video stabilization.

The device also sports a 16-megapixel (Sony IMX 371 sensor) front facing selfie shooter with 1.0μm pixel size and F/2.0 Aperture.

the OnePlus 5T is backed by a non-removable 3,300 mAh battery coupled with the company’s in-house Dash Charge technology which claims to charge the device for a day’s use in just 30 minutes. the device sports a Fingerprint sensor placed on the rear and comes with Face unlock features.

The OnePlus 5T was originally launched at a price tag of $499 (Rs. 32,999) for the 6GB RAM/64GB storage variant and $559 (Rs. 37,999) for the 8GB RAM/128GB storage variant.
