OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 5.1.4 update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T users. the latest update brings July Android security patch update, Improved photo clarity, sleep standby optimization, group messaging, and couple of regular bug fixes and under-the-hood improvements.
The highlight feature Shenzhen based smartphone maker has introduced in this latest update is sleep standby optimization which is designed to help users get more juice out of their battery. the feature is designed in a such way that it intelligently identifies a user sleeping pattern on the basis of its usage pattern turn off the network connectivity during specific periods of inactivity, which effectively reduces standby power consumption. it will later automatically cancel any network restrictions and get the phone out of Sleep Standby just before you wake up so that you won’t miss any notifications such as news updates, emails etc.
Do take a note, the OxygenOS 5.1.4 OTA update for the OnePlus 5 and 5T users will reach a limited number of users by today and will have a broader roll-out in the coming days after making sure there are no critical bugs left, so using VPN to download this build might not work as the roll-out is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.
