Nokia Licensee HMD Global announced the Nokia 7.1, alongside Nokia True Wireless Earbuds, and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphone at a launch event held in London on October 4, 2018. The USP of new Nokia 7.1 Full HD+ 5.84-inch PureDisplay screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio, 80-percent screen-to-body ratio, HDR support as well as real-time conversion from SDR to HDR. it supports a  1 million: 1 dynamic contrast ratio, with 500-million pixels processed per second providing smooth and accurate HDR video. the PureDisplay dynamically adapt to the environment for a spectacular viewing experience inside or out.

The Nokia 7.1 features a premium finish and design thanks to, 6000 series aluminum frame, packed with Glass on front and back and a diamond-cut colored chamfers. the device is powered by a 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform paired with Adreno 509 GPU. it comes with 3GB LPPDDR4x RAM / 32GB storage, and 4GB LPPDDR4x RAM / 64GB storage variants and supports storage expansion upto 400GB via MicroSD card.

The Nokia 7.1 runs on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the box, and belongs to Android One family which offers Google designed software experience, with free unlimited high-quality photos storage to google photos, along with regular security updates and upto two years of operating system upgrades.

In terms of camera, Nokia 7.1 sports a dual rear cameras setup with a 12-megapixel primary camera with f/1.8 aperture, AutoFocus, 1.28um pixel size, Dual led flash, paired with a 5-megapixel depth sensor with fixed focus, f/2.4 aperture, and 1.12um pixel size. it offers Studio-style photos with incredible depth of field thanks to sophisticated depth-sensing rear cameras with ZEISS Optics.

On the front, it comes with 8-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture and fixed focus.

Nokia 7.1 price, release date

The Nokia 7.1 is priced at € 299 (approx $345 / Rs.25,400 ) for the 3GB RAM / 32GB storage and €349 (approx $400 / Rs.29,650 ) for 4GB RAM / 64GB storage variant. the device will be available for pre-order starting from October 5, 2018 in Europe.
