HMD Global, the Finnish company who owns license of Nokia‘s brand name license on tablets and mobiles announced the Nokia X6 for the global audience as Nokia 6.1 Plus At a launch event held in Hong Kong on 20th July, 2018.
The Nokia X6 aka Nokia 6.1 plus first made its debut in China a couple of months back in May, 2018. it is touted as company’s first offering with ‘iPhone X’ like display notch, a 19:9 aspect ratio, and a AI-powered dual rear cameras setup. it is part of Google’s Android One program, and comes pre-installed with G-Suite apps.

The company is soon hosting an event in India for FANS and the lucky ones will stand a chance to witness the next exclusive launch event which we guess will be the debut of Nokia X5 aka Nokia 5.1 Plus, or Nokia X6 aka Nokia 6.1 Plus in India.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus sports a metal frame along with a glass back which covers the body up-to 95-percent and bears a 5.8-inch (2280 × 1080p) Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. it is powered by an 1.8GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 Mobile Platform paired with Adreno 509 GPU. the device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo update and is up-gradable to Android P. the device comes with 4 GB LPPDDR4x of RAM with 64GB on-board storage variant and 6GB RAM with 64GB on-board storage variant. both, the variants supports storage expansion up-to 400GB via MicroSD card.
On the optics front, the device sports a dual rear camera setup with a primary 16-megapixel RGB sensor with dual-tone LED flash, f/2.0 aperture, 1.0um pixel size and a secondary 5-megapixel monochrome sensor with f/2.2 aperture, 1.2um pixel size. the camera also comes with Artificial Intelligence supports and improves photography give user the ability to optimized colour contrast, add depth-of-field and portrait lighting effects. it also supports HDR, Face Unlock and Bothie features which allows users to utilize front and rear cameras simultaneously. on the front, there’s another 16-megapixel selfie camera with Fixed-focus, F/2.0 aperture, and 1.0um pixel size.
The device is fueled by an Integrated 3,060 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 technology which charges the device up-to 50 percent in just 30 minutes. connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C (USB 2.0), 3.5 mm headphone jack, USB Type-C, and FM Radio. it also on-boards Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer (G-sensor), E-compass, Gyroscope, Fingerprint Sensor (on the back). It measures at 147.2 x 70.98 x 8.59 mm (including Lens) and weights at 151 grams.
The Nokia 6.1 Plus is priced at HKD 2,288 (approx ₹ 20,000 | $290) in Hong Kong.
