Nokia 3.1 with 5.2-inch HD+ 18:9 display, Android Oreo Launched in India

HMD Global, the Finnish company who exclusively owns the Nokia brand name license on tablets and smartphones has today finally launched Nokia 3.1, the company’s most affordable offering in India. the device is packed with 5.2-inch HD+ 18:9 display, running on Android 8.0 Oreo ((Android One), powered by an Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750 processor paired with 2GB RAM.

To quickly recall,  the HMD Global announced its refresh smartphone lineup for 2018 with the new Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, and Nokia 5.1 at a launch event held in Moscow on May, 30th. All the three smartphones are successor to company’s last year offering the Nokia 2, Nokia 3 and Nokia 5.

Nokia 3.1 launch offers

The Nokia 3.1 is bundled with launch offers which includes cashback up to 10-percent on recharges and bill payments on Paytm when users buy the device from retailers by scanning Paytm Mall QR code, additionally users will also get two Rs. 250 movie cashback vouchers which can be easily redeemed via Paytm on minimum two movie tickets. users who opt to pay using ICICI Bank Credit or Debit Card will get a 5-percent cashback, and for Idea and Vodafone users there are two exciting offers which includes on recharge of Rs. 149 pack, they will receive 1GB data/day, unlimited calls and 100 SMS/day for 28 days. additionally, users who upgrades from 2G or 3G phone to the new Nokia 3.1 will get 1GB data/day for 28 days. on a recharge of Rs. 595, consumers will get unlimited calls, 100 SMS/day, 18GB data for 6 months.

Nokia 3.1 price

The Nokia 3.1 is available only in 2GB RAM with 16GB storage variant in India and is priced at Rs. 10,499 . the device is available in Blue/ Copper, Black/ Chrome, and White/ Iron colour options. it will go on sale starting from July, 21st in the country via offline channels and online via Nokia e-stores as well as Paytm Mall.

The Nokia 3.1 or Nokia 3 (2018) looks and feels premium with its subtle curves and striking diamond-cut aluminium sides. it bears a 5.2-inch 18:9 HD Display with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. the device sports 13-megapixel autofocus rear camera with automatic scene detection and led flash which lets you capture crisp photos whether you’re out or indoors. on the front, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie shooter with a wide 84.6-degree field-of-view, and offers a perfect wide-angle for taking group selfies.

 

Nokia 3.1 specifications

The Nokia 3.1 sports a diamond-cut aluminium sides with a poly-carbonate body at back. it bears a 5.2-inch (1440 x 720p) HD+ display with an 18:9 aspect ratio, 2.5D curved glass lamination, and Corning Gorilla Glass protection. the device is powered by an 1.5GHz Octa-Core MediaTek MT6750N Processor paired with 2GB/3GB of RAM, and Mali T860 GPU. it comes with 16GB/32GB on-board storage, and supports storage expansion upto 128GB via MicroSD. the device as mentioned earlier runs on Android 8.0 Oreo (Android One edition) and will receive monthly security patches up to three years, and two major operating system (Android P included) updates in its life cycle starting from the day it is launched. the device is backed by an a 2,990 mAh Integrated battery which will easily lasts for a day.

In the camera department, the device sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with AutoFocus, f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash. on the front, there’s an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calling with Fixed-focus, f/2.0 aperture, and 84.6 degree field-of-view.

Connectivity options include Dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, Micro USB (USB 2.0), 3.5mm audio jack, and FM Radio. onboard sensors includes Ambient light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope, Magnetometer. the device measures at 146.25 x 68.65 x 8.7 mm, and weighs at 138.3 grams.
