Motorola Moto P30 With 6.2-inch 19:9 display, Dual Cameras, 6GB RAM Launched in China

Motorola officially announced the its latest mid-range offering dubbed as Motorola Moto P30 from its portfolio of new ‘P series’ in China on August 16th, 2018. The key features of device includes 6.2-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and ‘iPhone X’ like notch, Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM, running on Android 8.1 Oreo with ZUI 4.0 on Top, and a gradient colour design with glass back and Corning Gorilla Glass protection.

The company in Weibo blog post announced that the device is “designed for China” which certainly hints that it will not shipped outside of China’s territory. the company is now gearing to expand its portfolio of the Moto P30 series, with P30 Note and P30 Play coming soon.


Motorola Moto P30 price, availability

The Moto P30 is priced at CNY 2,099 (approx ₹21,350 | $305 | €268 ) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant, and CNY 2,499 (approx ₹25,400 | $365| €319) for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant. the device will go on sale starting from September 15th in Aurora Blue, Black, and White colour options.

Motorola Moto P30 specifications

The Moto P30 sports a gradient colour design with glass back and 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection on both, front and back. it bears a 6.2 inch (2246 x 1080 pixels) 19:9 ‘MaxVision’ IPS display with a Notch, powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 14nm Mobile Platform paired with Adreno 509 GPU and 6GB of RAM. the device comes in 64GB/128GB on-board storage configurations, and supports expandable storage upto 256GB via microSD card. it runs on ZUI 4.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo and is fueled by an 3,000mAh battery with fast charging support.

In the camera department, the device includes a dual rear camera setup stacked vertically with a 16-megapixel (OV16B) primary sensor with dual-tone LED flash, f/1.8 aperture, 1.25μm pixel size, and a 5-megapixel (OV5675) secondary sensor with f/2.2 aperture that captures a more refined depth of field effects for your portrait shots, while supporting 1080p full HD video recording capabilities. it also includes other camera features such as background blur, HDR, professional mode, panoramic photo, and portrait mode.

On the front, there’s an 12-megapixel selfie shooter with f/2.0 aperture, wide-angle lens, AI portrait mode, AR camera, face beauty algorithm, and face unlock technology.

Connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, 2.4GHz & 5GHz, Bluetooth 5.0 (supports BLE+EDR), GPS, 3.5 mm headphone jack, and USB Type-C with OTG. onboard sensor includes fingerprint sensor (on rear, embedded on Moto Logo), distance sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, gyroscope, e-Compass. the device measures at 155.8 × 75.95 × 7.69mm, and weights at 170 grams.
