Lenovo owned Motorola has today announced a new variant of moto e⁵ play running on Android Oreo (Go Edition) — the device will be exclusively available for various countries in Europe and Latin America.
To quickly recall, The moto e⁵ was first announced in earlier this year in April, 2018 and was made available exclusively for US. it was packed with 5.2-inch display with traditional 16:9 aspect ratio, 2GB RAM, and powered by Android 8.0 Oreo.
The new moto e⁵ play bears a 5.3-inch Max Vision display with 18:9 aspect ratio. it company has not specified the processor details, but keeping in mind the original variant we expect it to be powered by an 1.4GHz quad-core Snapdragon 425 or Snapdragon 427 paired with Adreno 308 GPU. the device comes with 1GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage which will support storage expansion up to 128GB via MicroSD card. as mentioned earlier, it runs on Android Oreo (Go Edition) and will be fueled by an 2,800 mAh battery with 10W rapid charger. it sports rear facing fingerprint sensor which is embedded into the Moto logo and comes with water-repellent nano coating. it is equipped with Front-ported speakers and dual microphones.
In the optics front, the device sports a 8-megapixel primary rear camera with autofocus, f/2.0 aperture, 1.12um pixels, and LED flash. on the front, there’s an 5-megapixel front-facing camera with flash for selfies and video calling. the device is capable of capturing video recording 1080P at 30fps, 720P at 30fps, and 480P at 30fps. other camera feature includes Slo motion mode, Burst Shot, Manual Mode, HDR, Panorama, and Auto Night Mode.
Connectivity option includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS/A-GPS, FM radio, and 3.5 mm audio jack. it measures at 151 x 74 x 8.85 mm, and weighs at 150 grams.
The new moto e⁵ play will be priced at €109 (approx Rs. 8,700) and will go on sale starting from this month across various countries in Europe and Latin America.
