Microsoft has finally enabled the app subscription feature in current builds of the Windows 10

Microsoft at build 2016 announced that the Windows 10 Anniversary Update will bring the new App Video Trailers and Store Subscriptions to the windows store which will help Windows Developers to upload a trailer video for their app on the Windows Store and the Store Subscriptions will probably allow developers to get paid monthly for their service inside an app.

Microsoft in a blog post stated

“New subscription support In-app purchase capabilities will be expanded with Windows 10 to include a recurring billing, or subscription, option that will enable the Windows Store to sell subscription-based content using Store billing systems. Useful for content and productivity services, among others, this subscription capability will support the Windows Store consumer payment methods in most markets with developer-configurable time periods. Watch for more information in this blog as we get closer to launch.”

Microsoft has finally enabled the app subscription feature in current builds of the Windows 10. you can refer the above screenshot. the subscription feature appears in search filters when you search for media or app contents.

 

At Build 2016 Microsoft unveiled more than 1000 new innovations coming to Windows 10 with the Anniversary Update. The above images shows tons of new APIs and Features which will be making it way in the Anniversary Update
