More details about HTC’s next flagship smartphone, HTC One M10, have surfaced online. According to new rumors, HTC will be launching two versions of the smartphone – one running Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 processor and the other a MediaTek SoC. The Qualcomm variant is expected to be available in the US and EU markets, whereas the MediaTek version will be launching in Asia including China and South-East Asia.

New rumors come shortly after it was reported that HTC may skip MWC 2016 to unveil the One M10. Instead the company will be hosting an event in March to launch the phone, which is expected to go on sale in April. Reports suggest that HTC wasn’t satisfied with some of the prototypes, therefore decided to delay the launch.

So far, not much is known about the HTC One M10, though rumors suggest that the phone, codenamed HTC Perfume, will run on Android 6.0 out-of-the-box. It will come with IP68 certification, making it water and dust resistant, and also feature a 23-megapixel camera, 3,000mAh battery and fingerprint scanner.

The HTC One M10 will succeed the One M9 launched last year. The One M9 has a 5-inch full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display, and is powered by a 2GHz Snapdragon 810 octa-core chipset with 64-bit capability, paired with 3GB of RAM. Other features of the smartphone include 20-megapixel rear camera, BoomSound speakers with 5.1 Dolby Surround sound playback and a 2,840mAh battery.

Interestingly, HTC is also being rumored to be working on Google’s Nexus smartphones for 2016. Recently two HTC smartphones, believed to be the two new Nexus smartphones, were spotted with codenames T50 and T55.
