Honor 8 Pro With 12MP Dual Camera Lens, 6GB RAM coming to India in July

Honor, Huawei sub-brand announced the Honor 8 Pro smartphone will launch in India next month. the Honor 8 Pro is the re-branded version of the Honor V9 smartphone which was launched earlier this year in China and was later launched as Honor 8 Pro launched in selected markets  including UK, France, Germany, Spain, Italy and Switzerland. the smartphone will be available exclusively via Amazon India and is expected to priced between Rs. 32,000 to Rs. 36,000.

The highlight feature of Honor 8 Pro is the fourth generation Dual lens camera with 12-megapixel which offers DSLR like depth of field effects.

Allen Wang, Director, Product Centre, Huawei India Consumer Business Group quoted IANS, “The two lenses work in tandem to deliver the perfect shot. the monochrome lens captures a black-and-white image with incredible depth of detail while RGB lens ensures vivid colour reproduction. The sophisticated software brings the best of two worlds together. the Honor 8 Pro is one of the best Honor phone so far and will be priced in the affordable price segment.”

 

The company globally witnessed 35 per cent growth (YOY) in revenue in FYI 2016 with over 139 million smartphone shipments. In the first quarter of 2017, the company has shipped 34.55 million units in 74 countries.

Honor 8 Pro Specifications

The Honor 8 Pro sports a ultra-thin 6.97 mm metal body and feature’s a 5.7-inch Quad HD 2K display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels and Gorilla Glass 3. under-the-hood, it is powered by the company’s in-house Kirin 960 octa-core processor (4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz + 4 Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.4GHz) paired with 6GB of RAM and Mali-G71 GPU – it is packed with 64GB of internal storage which is further expandable up-to 128GB via MicroSD Card support. it also feature’s a finger print sensor on the front. The smartphone packaging contains virtual reality (VR) lens that can be turned as VR headsets.

The highlight feature of the Honor 8 Pro smartphone, is its Dual Camera setup at the back which sports Dual pair off 12-megapixel sensors, one with a monochrome sensor and the other with RGB [colour] sensor along with f/2.2 aperture, Auto-Focus, LED flash, and is also capable of 4K video recording. on the front, it features an 8-megapixel camera with 77° wide-angle lens and f/2.0 aperture.

The Honor 8 Pro smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat update with the company’s EMUI 5.1 UI on top. it is backed by a 4000mAh battery backup. on the connectivity front, it includes Hybrid Dual-SIM, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.2, 3.5mm jack, USB 2.0, USB Type-C and NFC. it also on-board sensor which includes Hall sensor, Infrared sensor, Fingerprint sensor, Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Digital compass, Gravity sensor, Gyroscope and Status indicator.

The Honor 8 Pro smartphone will be available in Navy Blue, Platinum Gold, and Midnight Black colour options. the smartphone measures at 157 x 77.50 x 6.97 mm and weighs at 184 grams including battery.
