After making its debut in the international market last month, the BlackBerry KEY2, has finally launched in India by licensee Optiemus Infracom on 23rd July, 2018. The device is touted as the first offering from the company, sporting dual camera setup which offers feature such as Portrait mode and optical zoom for greater control and image quality. the company claims it features the most intelligent keyboard they have ever made, and is packed with the all-new Speed Key that makes it possible to activate shortcuts to apps and initiate actions from anywhere without returning to the home-screen or swiping endlessly, along with an impressive battery life of up-to two days on a single charge.

The BlackBerry KEY2 is priced at Rs. 42,990 in India and will go on sale starting from July 31st exclusively via Amazon. it is bundled with launch offers including a cashback offer from ICICI bank, and Rs. 4,450 cashback offer from Reliance Jio.

The BlackBerry KEY2 sports a 7 Series aluminum alloy frame with Textured diamond grip non-slip on the back. it is deliberately crafted for doing more on the go, offering a thinner and lighter design, without sacrificing durability. the device bears a 4.5-inch full-HD (1080 x 1620 p) IPS LCD display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection, a 3:2 aspect ratio, along with a pixel density of 433 PPI, and 24-bit colour depth. it is powered by an 64-Bit octa-core Snapdragon 660 Mobile Platform (Quad 2.2GHz Kryo 260 + Quad 1.8GHz Kryo 260 CPUs) paired with 6GB of RAM and Adreno 512 GPU. the device comes with 64GB / 128GB of on-board storage and supports storage expansion up-to 2TB via MicroSD card. it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo update and is backed by an 3,500 mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 technology which the company claims offers 25 hours of battery life with mixed usage. it is packed with 4-row Physical QWERTY back-lit keyboard with capacitive touch which supports touch gestures, support for flick typing, and up-to 52 customizable shortcuts and a fingerprint sensor embedded into the space-bar.

In the camera department, the device sports a dual rear camera setup which comes with a 12-megapixel primary rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash, F/1.8 aperture, 1.28µm pixel size, 79.3-degree wide-angle lens, Dual PDAF, and another 12-megapixel secondary sensor with F/2.6 aperture, 50-degree wide-angle lens, 1.0µm pixel size and Phase Detect AutoFocus (PDAF). it also offers HDR, 4K video recording at 30 fps.

On the front, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie camera with Fixed Focus, Selfie Flash and 1080p video recording at 30 fps.
