Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone manufacturing company is scheduled to unveil two more smartphone in its portfolio of the ‘Redmi’ series dubbed as the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus in launch event on December 7 at China.
Ahead of its launch, Donovan Sung, Xiaomi, Global Spokesperson shared pictures of both the devices from all angles on his Twitter handle giving everyone a sneak preview of what to expect from the company’s next offering.
The Picture reveals both the Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus sports an identical design with a metal body, a near bezel-less ‘FullVision’ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and a fingerprint sensor placed at the back.
The company didn’t reveal any specification yet, however previous leaks suggest, the Redmi 5 sports a 5.7-inch HD (720 x 1440 p) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a Snapdragon 450 mobile platform paired with 2GB/3GB/4GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB/64GB of on-board storage. the device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and is backed by a 3,200 mAh battery.
the device is expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera.
the Redmi 5 Plus is expected to sport a 5.9-inch Full HD+ (1080 x 2160 p) display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and is powered by a Snapdragon 625 or 630 mobile platform paired with 3GB/4GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of on-board storage. the device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat update and is backed by a 4000 mAh battery.
the Redmi 5 Plus is also expected to sport a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with LED flash.
Coming to the pricing, The Redmi 5 is rumoured to retailed at a pricing of CNY 699 (Approx Rs. 6,800) and Redmi 5 Plus at CNY 999 (Approx Rs. 9,800).
