Oppo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has today announced its latest flagship offering the OPPO Find X at a launch event held in Paris. the highlight feature of the device is camera setup which is unique thanks, to the motorised camera which slides in and out from the top automatically whenever you try to open or close the camera application. as per company claims it has tested the sliding mechanism over 300,000 times for durability. the device also comes with AI-assisted sensor which offers animated 3D emojis or as 3D Omoji as per the company which lets you choose personalize animated cartoon to mimic your facial expression in real time.
The OPPO Find X sports a 3D glass body with shiny metal back and curved edges. it bears a 6.42-inch ( 2340 x 1080p ) Full-HD+ AMOLED bezel-less display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio, Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection, along with a screen-to-body ratio of 93.8-percent. it is powered by an 2.5GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 10nm Mobile Platform paired with Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB of RAM. it comes with 256GB of on-board storage and doesn’t supports storage expansion. the device runs on Color operating system 5.1 based on Android 8.1 Oreo (Android P Beta, coming soon) update and is backed by an 3,730 mAh battery with VOOC fast charge technology. the device doesn’t comes with fingerprint sensor and only supports facial unlocking technology.
In the camera department, the device sports a dual rear camera setup which consists a combination of 16-megapixel primary sensor with F/2.0 aperture, and a 20-megapixel secondary camera with F/2.2 aperture. it comes with LED flash, Optical Image Stabilization, AI portraits and AI Scene Recognition technology which is capable of identifying 800 scenes.
On the front, there’s an 25-megapixel AI-enhanced 3D camera with F/2.0 aperture which provides 3D lighting techniques and filters for artistic portraits. the device also comes with a unique facial scanning technology dubbed as O-Face Recognition which the company claims is 20 times safer than Fingerprint authentication for unlocking the device.
Connectivity options include Dual SIM (nano + nano), 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, GPS, and USB Type-C. the device measures at 156.7 x 74.3 x 9.4 mm, and weighs at 186 grams.
The OPPO Find X is priced at €999 ( approx. USD 1,155 / Rs. 78,700) and will be available starting from August. it is expected to launch in India on a event scheduled on July 12. whereas, it is scheduled to launch in China on June 29. the company is also offering the device in Automobili Lamborghini Limited Edition which comes with 512GB storage, and carbon fibre back and is priced at at €1,699 (approx.USD 1,965 / Rs. 134,000).
