Oppo, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer has garnered alot of appreciation for its latest flagship offering the OPPO Find X. the company is now gearing to release its latest mid-range device dubbed as OPPO A5. the device was recently listed on Chinese certification website, TENAA revealing the device design and specifications.
As per the TENAA listing, the OPPO A5 bears a 6.2-inch 19:9 display with an 1520 × 720 pixel resolution and a “iPhone x” like notch similar to the one present in Oppo A3. it will be powered by an 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 SoC coupled with 4GB of RAM. the device will comes with 64GB onboard storage and will support storage expansion via MicroSD card slot. it will run on ColorOS 5.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo and will fueled by an 4,100mAh battery. the device doesn’t feature a fingerprint sensor which indicates it will only support facial recognition technology.
In the camera department, the device is expected to sport a dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor which will capture depth-of-field for portrait shots. on the front, there’s an 8-megapixel selfie camera and will come with face unlock support.
Connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, and GPS. onboard sensor includes gravity sensor, distance sensor, and ambient light sensor. the device measures at 156.2 × 75.6 × 8.2 mm, and weighs at 168 grams. it will come in Powder, light blue, dark blue, and purple color options.
