OnePlus 6 8GB RAM, 256GB Storage Variant Goes on Sale in India at Rs 43,999

OnePlus 6 much-awaited ‘Midnight Black’ color variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage will go on sale today starting from 12:00 AM IST via Amazon India at Rs. 43,999. the device will be also available via OnePlus.in and other other offline channels in the region starting from July 14.

To recall quickly, The Chinese company had earlier launched the device back in India with the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition only variant featuring 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. however, it was a limited edition stock exclusively made for the Marvel Fans. The company finally decided to brought its top end configuration variant with all other regular variants giving a user opportunity to choose the best option for them. the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition was announced at Rs. 44,999. while, the latest ‘Midnight Black’ variant is available for a Rs.1000 cheaper.

The OnePlus 6 bears a 6.28-inch (2280 × 1080 pixels) Full HD+ AMOLED bezel-less display with an ‘IPhone X’ like Notch at top along with a screen-to-body ratio of 84-percent, 19:9 aspect ratio, DCI-P3 color gamut and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. it is powered by the latest Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Mobile Platform clocked at 2.8GHz and paired with Adreno 630 GPU. the device comes only in 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM with 256GB (UFS 2.1) on-board storage and runs on OxygenOS 5.1 which is based on Android 8.1 Oreo update. it is backed by an 3,300 mAh battery with the company’s Dash Charge (5V 4A) fast charging technology which is touted to deliver a “day’s power in half an hour”. it is also said to be water resistance and safe from regular water splashes. although, the company hasn’t mentioned the IP rating. the fingerprint sensor is placed on the rear can unlock the device in just 0.2 seconds.

On the optics front, the device sports dual camera setup placed vertically which is a combination of a 16-megapixel Sony IMX519 primary sensor with a 1.22-micron pixel size, F/1.7 aperture, OIS, EIS and a 20-megapixel Sony IM376K secondary sensor with 1-micron pixel size and an F/1.7 aperture. the primary sensor is 19-percent bigger than its predecessor OnePlus 5T and comes with dual-LED flash, HDR mode and Portrait mode. the company is also touting Slow Motion video recording which is capable of capturing 480 frames per second, 240 frames per second at 1080p, 4k at 60 frames per second.

On the front, There’s an 16-megapixel selfie shooter with a Sony IMX371 sensor, 1-micron pixels, F/2.0 aperture, and EIS. it comes with all new  inbuilt video editor and is also capable of offering Portrait Mode shots using a new AI algorithm to give a depth-of-field effect. the company also stated that Face Unlock feature can unlock the device in just 0.4 seconds.

Connectivity option includes Dual SIM (nano + nano), 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.0, GPS + GLONASS, USB Type-C and 3.5mm audio jack. it on-boards sensors including accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. it measures at 155.7×75.35×7.75 mm and weights at 177 grams.
