HMD Global, the Finnish company on Monday announced the launch of Nokia 1, the company’s first device running on Android 8.1 Oreo (Android Go edition) in India. the device is priced at Rs. 5,499 in India and it is available across all major phone retailers across the country. the device is available in Dark Blue and Warm Red colour options along with Xpress On two-tone polycarbonate exchangeable covers which are priced at Rs. 450 and available in Azure and Grey or Yellow and Pink.

The Nokia 1 bears a 4.5” FWVGA IPS display and is powered by 1.1 GHz Quad-Core MediaTek MT6737 processor paired with 1 GB of LPPDDR 3 RAM. the device is packed with 8 GB of on-board storage and supports storage expansion up to 128 GB. it runs on Android 8.1 Oreo (Go edition) and is backed by an 2150 mAh battery which the company claims offers Talk time Up to 9 hours, Standby time Up to 15 days and Video playback time Up to 4.8 hours.
On the optics front, the device sports 5 Megapixel primary camera with LED flash and a 2 Megapixel Front-facing camera.
Connectivity option includes Dual Nano SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/AGPS, FM Radio, 3.5 mm audio jack and MicroUSB (USB 2.0). it also on-boards Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor and G-sensor. it measures at 133.6 x 67.78 x 9.5 mm and weights at 131 grams.
