We reported you last week that The Nokia X5 or Nokia 5.1 Plus is scheduled to launch in China on July, 11. HMD Global, the Finnish company who owns the Nokia brand license has now officially announced teased the details of launch event which is scheduled to begin from 8PM local time on July, 11 on its official Weibo account.
The teaser however doesn’t reveals the information of the device which the company is going to announced but as per the rumour mills strongly suggest it is going to launch Nokia X5 or Nokia 5.1 Plus.
In a separate report, As per a post shared on Chinese social networking website, Baidu, The Nokia X5 sports larger bezels than its elder sibling Nokia X6 and will feature a wider display notch. it is expected to priced at CNY 1,000 (approx Rs. 10,350).
Previous rumours suggests, the Nokia X5 or Nokia 5.1 Plus will bear a 5.86-inch ( 720 × 1520 pixels) HD+ 19:9 display with 2.5D curved glass lamination and will be powered by an 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek or Snapdragon processor. the device will be available in 3GB RAM / 32GB storage, 4GB RAM / 64B storage, 6GB RAM / 64GB storage configurations. all the variants will support storage expansion up to 128GB via MicroSD card slot. it will run on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the box and will be fueled by a 3,000mAh battery.
In the camera department, the device sports a vertical dual rear camera setup with a 13-megapixel primary sensor with PDAF, and LED flash, paired along with secondary sensor to capture depth-of-field for portrait shots. on the front, there will be an 8-megapixel front facing camera for selfies and video calling. the camera will be capable of capturing 1080 pixel HD video recording.
Connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB. onboard sensor includes Gravity sensor, distance sensor, and Ambient light sensor. the device measures at 149.51 x 71.98 x 8.1mm and weighs at 160 grams.
These leaks, however, are not the final specifications and can varies when the device will be announced officially, so take them with a pinch of salt.
